About DSIP

DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) is a nonapeptide with the sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu. It was first isolated in 1977 from the cerebral venous blood of rabbits, and its name comes from that original study.

DSIP is used in neuropeptide characterization research, including work on peptide transport across biological barriers and on stress-response signaling models.

Common research areas

  • Neuropeptide characterization
  • Peptide transport across biological barriers
  • Stress-response signaling models
  • Short-peptide analytical methods

Store sealed vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. For extended storage, −20 °C is standard practice for lyophilized peptides. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

Handle all research materials using appropriate laboratory practices and personal protective equipment, in line with your institution’s safety procedures. Keep out of reach of children.

Each container is printed with a lot number (CRL-DSP-5-0915). The Certificate of Analysis for each lot reports HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity results.
