About Retatrutide
Retatrutide (development code LY3437943) is a synthetic, 39-amino-acid peptide designed to engage three related class B G protein-coupled receptors: the GIP receptor, the GLP-1 receptor and the glucagon receptor.
Its sequence incorporates non-coded amino acids and a fatty diacid side chain attached through a linker. This type of lipidation promotes reversible binding to serum albumin and is a well-characterised strategy in peptide chemistry for extending half-life in experimental systems.
In the laboratory it is typically used as a reference compound alongside single- and dual-agonist analogs to compare receptor selectivity, potency and downstream cAMP signaling.
Common research areas
- Multi-receptor agonism in class B GPCR models
- cAMP accumulation and signaling assays
- Structure–activity comparisons with single and dual agonists
- Peptide lipidation and albumin-binding chemistry

Store sealed vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. For extended storage, −20 °C is standard practice for lyophilized peptides. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
Handle all research materials using appropriate laboratory practices and personal protective equipment, in line with your institution’s safety procedures. Keep out of reach of children.
Each container is printed with a lot number (CRL-RET-10-0915, CRL-RET-20-0915, CRL-RET-30-0915, CRL-RET-40-0915, CRL-RET-50-0915). The Certificate of Analysis for each lot reports HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity results.
