About Tirzepatide
Tirzepatide is a synthetic 39-amino-acid linear peptide based on the native GIP sequence and engineered to act at both the GIP and GLP-1 receptors.
The molecule contains two α-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) residues and a C20 fatty diacid moiety attached via a hydrophilic linker, modifications that increase resistance to DPP-4 cleavage and enable albumin binding.
Research use centres on receptor-binding kinetics, biased agonism and comparative pharmacology against selective GLP-1 receptor agonists.
Common research areas
- GIP and GLP-1 receptor binding kinetics
- Biased agonism and β-arrestin recruitment assays
- Comparative incretin pharmacology
- Acylated peptide stability studies

Store sealed vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. For extended storage, −20 °C is standard practice for lyophilized peptides. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
Handle all research materials using appropriate laboratory practices and personal protective equipment, in line with your institution’s safety procedures. Keep out of reach of children.
Each container is printed with a lot number (CRL-TIR-10-0915, CRL-TIR-20-0915, CRL-TIR-30-0915, CRL-TIR-40-0915, CRL-TIR-50-0915, CRL-TIR-60-0915). The Certificate of Analysis for each lot reports HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity results.
