About TB-500 (T4)
TB-500 (T4) is a synthetic peptide corresponding to thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino-acid peptide found in most mammalian cell types.
Tβ4 is best known as a major G-actin–sequestering molecule. By binding actin monomers it regulates polymerisation, and it is therefore widely used in studies of cytoskeletal dynamics.
Laboratory research has also explored its role in cell migration and angiogenesis in in vitro and preclinical models.
Common research areas
- G-actin binding and cytoskeletal dynamics
- Cell migration assays
- Angiogenesis models
- Actin polymerisation kinetics

Store sealed vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. For extended storage, −20 °C is standard practice for lyophilized peptides. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
Handle all research materials using appropriate laboratory practices and personal protective equipment, in line with your institution’s safety procedures. Keep out of reach of children.
Each container is printed with a lot number (CRL-TB5-10-0915). The Certificate of Analysis for each lot reports HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity results.
